Police are investigating a bus crash which left a 45 year-old driver from Jersey City with critical injuries Tuesday night, April 14.
According to police reports, the 45 year-old driver was driving a 2013 Honda Civic at high speeds when it collided into a bus which was stopped on the northbound lanes of Washington Avenue at around 8:30 p.m.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, and determined that the driver sustained critical injuries from the crash. The driver was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
None of the eight occupants inside the bus suffered any injuries.
Police are still investigating if other factors, aside from high speeds, may have contributed to the crash.

Vehicular Accidents

We urge drivers to observe and follow the laws while driving, and to remain focused while driving so that they can react accordingly to situations that may suddenly pop up on the roadway. Drivers should be more careful when driving while visibility is low, and they should also check their car before going on the roadway. Being more diligent and prepared can help lessen accidents on the roads of New Jersey.
