Several lanes on Route 18 were blocked after a dump truck overturned on Route 34 in Colts Neck Wednesday afternoon, April 15.
According to reports from the initial investigation, the dump truck driver was driving on the southbound lanes of Route 34 at approximately 2:50 p.m. when he lost control of the dump truck, causing it to overturn on the roadway just before Route 18.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries from the crash and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigation is still ongoing, and police say that speed doe not seem to be a factor in the crash.

Drivers should be more careful when driving while visibility is low, and they should also check their car before going on the roadway. Being more diligent and prepared can help lessen accidents on the roads of New Jersey.
