A New Jersey State Trooper was hospitalized after his parked vehicle was struck by another car on the Garden State Parkway, late Saturday night, January 11.
According to reports from New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez, the state trooper was pulled over with emergency lights on and was in the process of assisting a driver with a disabled vehicle near milepost 139.1 northbound in Kenilworth when the trooper’s vehicle was rear-ended by an Audi A6 at around 10:40 p.m.
The trooper sustained minor injuries and was taken to Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center in Edison for treatment.
The driver and passenger of the Audi were not injured.

Vehicular Accidents

We urge drivers to observe and follow the laws while driving, and to remain focused while driving so that they can react accordingly to situations that may suddenly pop up on the roadway. Drivers should be more careful when driving while visibility is low, and they should also check their car before going on the roadway. Being more diligent and prepared can help lessen accidents on the roads of New Jersey.
