Rollover crash reported on GSP at NJ-35 in Sayreville

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Property damage was reported following a rollover wreck early Tuesday on the Garden State Parkway in northeast Sayreville, according to 511NJ GSP.

The accident occurred on the northbound lanes of the parkway, north of Exit 125 to New Jersey Route 35/U.S. Route 9, in the Melrose area. It was first reported by 511 at 1:52 a.m.

Authorities did not immediately say what caused the crash, but preliminary details indicate one vehicle overturned and came to rest off the roadway, leaving all travel lanes open.


Although it’s unclear whether any other vehicles were involved, by 2:05 a.m., crews indicated that at least one other vehicle or structure had sustained damage.


No major injuries have been confirmed at this time.
