CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ — A 37-year-old man was fatally injured last Tuesday, September 19, as a result of a single-vehicle accident in Greenwich Township, according to Daily Voice.
New Jersey State Police said the wreck occurred on Tindall Island Road at about 5:05 p.m.
A preliminary investigation shows Douglas G. Hitchner Jr., a Woodstown resident, was operating a Chevrolet SUV southbound on the road. At one point, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree.
Hitchner suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased, confirmed officials.
The NJSP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. No further information has been made available as of this writing.
