Accident closes lane on westbound NJT in Mansfield Township

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Authorities were called to a crash early Thursday on the westbound New Jersey Turnpike into Pennsylvania from Mansfield Township, according to 511NJ TPK.

The collision took place on the westbound turnpike (Interstate 95) west of Exit 6 from the southbound New Jersey Turnpike. It was first reported by 511NJ at 4:24 a.m.

No information indicating the cause of the accident or the number of vehicles involved has been shared, but the right lane was closed as a result.


At 5:13 a.m., nearly 50 minutes later, crews had removed the scene from the roadway and all travel lanes were announced reopened.


Local agencies have not reported any significant injuries linked to the incident.
