HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A man died last Wednesday, August 16, after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Secaucus, according to Daily Voice.
The wreck occurred on a stretch of County Avenue at Charles Street, at around 12:30 p.m.
Authorities said the man was operating a motorcycle when he was pulled over by a Hudson County sheriff’s officer. Shortly after fleeing northbound on County Avenue, his bike hit an SUV, causing him to eject.
The rider was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:13 p.m., confirmed officials. His identity remains undisclosed at this time.
No one in the SUV was reported hurt.
New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin will be reviewing the man’s death since it occurred as a result of an encounter with an on-duty law enforcement officer.
