PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — One person was seriously injured late Wednesday night due to a pedestrian crash off Route 21 in Passaic, reports local media.
The incident was reported in the area of 24 State Street, near Aspen Street. Local police and first responders were dispatched to the scene at about 11:35 p.m.
Officials have not specified the circumstances of the event, but the victim was found suffering from severe injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
It was not immediately clear whether the driver remained at the scene. No pending charges have been reported as of this writing.
The Passic County Prosecutor’s Office was called to the scene to help conduct an investigation.
