1 left seriously hurt after motorcycle crash in Jersey City

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — One person was critically injured Thursday evening due to a motorcycle accident involving a truck in Jersey City, according to local media.

The collision occurred near the corner of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Orient Avenue, a few blocks north of New Jersey City University, in the city’s West Bergen area. It was first reported at about 6:45 p.m.

Details remain limited, but first responders arrived to find the rider had ejected from the motorcycle following a crash with a truck, and was left wedged under vehicle by the impact.

The victim, who suffered a severe head injury, was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center. No other information on the patient’s condition has been disclosed.

City officials had the intersection shut down during the response and investigation, which remains underway.
