Rollover semi crash blocks shoulder on NJT near Carteret

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — A tractor-trailer overturned Tuesday morning, closing a right shoulder on the New Jersey Turnpike near Carteret, according to 511NJ TPK.

Officials said the accident occurred on the northbound lanes, north of Exit 12 to Roosevelt Avenue. It was first recorded by 511NJ at 6:14 a.m.

At this time, no information regarding the cause of the wreck has been released. It remains unclear whether another vehicle was involved or whether the big rig driver was seriously injured.
