BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A 35-year-old man died Monday morning after his pickup truck was hit by multiple vehicles on U.S. Route 206 in Tabernacle, reports Daily Voice.
The series of crashes occurred on a span of US-206 near milepost 15.4, at around 9:00 a.m.
According to New Jersey State Police, Rafael Colin Salinas was driving a Nissan Titan southbound on Route 206 when he stopped to turn left toward a property. The Nissan was hit from the back by a Freightliner M2, sending the Nissan into the northbound lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Kentworth W90. The impact of that crash pushed the Nissan back into the southbound lanes, where it was hit in the back by a southbound Hino truck.
Authorities said Salinas succumbed to injuries suffered in the crash.
The NJSP has not released any information regarding pending charges at this time. An investigation remains ongoing.
