Woman hit, killed by vehicle at Beach Haven intersection

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — A 78-year-old woman from Pennsylvania died Monday afternoon after a pedestrian crash in Beach Haven, on Long Beach Island, reports NJ.com.

Beach Haven Police said the woman was crossing Bay Avenue at the intersection with 9th Street, at about 5:10 p.m., when she was hit by a northbound vehicle. Preliminary details indicate the driver, an 82-year-old man from Venice, Florida, had been traveling on a green light.

At this time, authorities have not identified the victim, a resident of Springbrook, Pennsylvania. No charges have been filed against the driver.
