HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — At least one person was hurt early Monday due to a two-vehicle wreck on the New Jersey Turnpike near Secaucus, according to local media.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes near mile marker 111.2, at about 1:50 a.m.
Details remain limited, but New Jersey State Police troopers arrived on the scene to find one vehicle overturned. Preliminary details indicate the second car crash as the first driver was trying to prevent the rollover. Authorities said multiple occupants got out of one car and were hit by a vehicle.
First responders rushed at least one patient to Hackensack University Medical Center with unspecified injuries. No updates on their condition has been disclosed at this time.
The left northbound lane was blocked off during the response and investigation.
