ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — A 49-year-old Yorktown Heights, New York man died early Sunday after a two-car crash in Atlantic City’s Ducktown area, reports Daily Voice.
The fatal accident occurred at the corner of Arctic Avenue and North Missouri Avenue, near the Tanger Outlets shopping center, at around 3:40 a.m.
While details remain limited, a preliminary investigation indicates two vehicles, a taxicab and a Tesla, collided in the intersection.
The victim, who was a passenger in the cab, died from his injuries at the scene. Authorities have since identified him as Almir Pachariz.
Four other occupants in the cab, including the driver, suffered undisclosed injuries and were transported to AtlantiCare-City Division. First responders also took the driver of the Tesla to the hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
At this time, it remains unclear which driver caused the collision. No charges have been reported.
