MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — One person was injured and trapped Sunday night due to a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison, reports local media.
New Jersey State Police said troopers responded to the scene on the southbound lanes near mile marker 87.6 after receiving reports of an accident involving injuries.
Crews worked to extricate one occupant from the wreckage before transporting the patient to a local hospital. The severity of their condition was not immediately clear.
No one else was seriously injured, and no other vehicles appear to have been impacted.
The NJSP continues to investigate. At this time, no charges have been reported.
