Minivan slams into business storefront in Union Township

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Property damage was reported Friday morning, March 17, after a driver crashed his vehicle into the front of a cafe in Union Township, according to local media.

The incident was reported at Van Gogh’s Ear Café, located at 1017 Stuyvesant Avenue. Union Township Police were called to the scene at about 8:35 a.m.

The driver of the striking vehicle told authorities the brakes on his minivan malfunctioned just before it crashed into the front of the business.

No one was reported injured in the event, but a section of the road was shut down as crews worked to remove the vehicle.

At this time, no information has been released indicating an estimated cost of damages to the business.
