Man dies after rollover crash on ACE in Hamilton Township

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — A 29-year-old Philadelphia man died Saturday morning after a single-car crash on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township, reports Daily Voice.

According to New Jersey State Police, the fatal accident took place on the westbound lanes at around 8:50 a.m.

It was unclear what caused the crash, but authorities said the man was driving a Mercedes Benz westbound when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and down an embankment. It then collided with a fence and a tree before rolling.

The victim, who was ejected during the rollover, was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed NJSP.

An investigation into the cause of the collision remains underway.
