Major collision claims 1 life on US-206 in Somerset County

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — One person died early Friday after a vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 206 in Raritan, according to local media.

Somerset County authorities said the fatal crash happened near East Somerset Street at about 2:17 a.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but first responders arrived on the scene to find a severely injured person unconscious and unresponsive in the impacted vehicle.

The victim succumbed to their injuries at the crash site, confirmed officials.
