Man fatally hit by car while crossing US-40 in Franklin Township

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ – A 54-year-old man has died after a pedestrian crash early Friday, February 10, in the Malaga area of Franklin Township, according to  Daily Voice

Township Police said the fatal incident occurred at the corner of U.S. Route 40 and New Jersey Route 47.

A preliminary investigation indicates the man was on foot and crossing the intersection on his way to Malaga Diner, his place of work, when he was struck by a vehicle.

The victim, who was transported to an area hospital where he underwent several surgeries. On Friday, February 17, a week later, he succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, authorities have not released any information on the driver or the circumstances of the event. No charges have been reported.
