Woman ticketed after being hit, hurt by SUV in Fort Lee

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An 89-year-old woman received a jaywalking ticket after being hit and injured by a vehicle last Wednesday in Fort Lee, reports Daily Voice.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Old Palisade Road and Parker Avenue on January 11, at about 6:45 p.m.

According to authorities, the woman was struck by a three-row 2021 Hyundai Palisade after neglecting to use the marked pedestrian crosswalk.

The female pedestrian, who reported mild pain, was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Authorities said the driver, a 59-year-old Queens, New York man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
