BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Minor injuries and substantial property damage were reported Tuesday afternoon after an SUV crashed through a nail salon in north Paramus, reports Daily Voice.
The accident happened at Bliss Nails, located in the Highland Shopping Center off East Ridgewood Avenue. It was first reported shortly after 1:45 p.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but Paramus Police said a Paramus man driving a 2007 Lexus RX slammed into the business.
A 59-year-old Paramus woman received treatment on the scene from Paramus Emergency Medical Services for a minor hand cut.
No injuries to the driver or anyone else were reported, even though several people were in the building at the time.
Members of the Fire Department and Rescue Squad conducted a preliminary evaluation of the structure’s safety. The building was expected to be further examined by the Paramus Building Department.
An estimated cost of damage to the property has not been released.
No further details have been shared at this time, but the driver is expected to be issued traffic summonses following an investigation.
