BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A woman was injured late Monday morning due to a chain-reaction wreck on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights, according to Daily Voice.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound lanes near Franklin Avenue and Malcolm Avenue at about 11:00 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates a Belleville man was driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck northbound when it slammed into a Toyota Prius and two other vehicles stopped at a light.
The victim, who was an occupant in the Toyota Prius, was transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities said the causing driver was issued a summons in the aftermath of the wreck.
Multiple area emergency crews, including firefighters from both Wood-Ridge and Hasbrouck Heights, responded to the scene.
At around 12:00 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
