BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An elderly man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash in west Ridgewood, according to Daily Voice.
The accident occurred at the corner of Cantrell Road and Highland Avenue, just before 8:30 a.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but officials said the man was driving an Acura TSX when it collided with an Infiniti QX60 at the intersection.
The driver of the Acura suffered a major head injury and was rushed by village ambulance to The Valley Hospital. No updates on his condition have been released at this time.
It was unclear whether the other driver was injured.
Both vehicles had to be towed away from the scene, suggesting significant property damage.
Fire crews also worked to clear a resulting fuel spill.
