BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized early Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Lodi, reports Daily Voice.
The incident occurred on Main Street, in front of ShopRite of Lodi, shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but Lodi Police said the teen was on his bike when he was hit by a driver in a green Honda Civic with a missing bumper. The sedan fled the scene without stopping.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.
No further information has been made available at this time, but an investigation remains underway.
