Crash reported in Jackson Twp kills 1

JERSEY SHORE, NJ – The Daily Voice reports that a crash involving a scooter rider left one man dead on Monday night.

The crash took place just before 9:30 p.m., at the intersection of Jackson Mills Road and Harmony Road in Jackson Township. Authorities say an 81-year-old man riding a scooter was struck by a driver in a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The unidentified 81-year-old scooter rider was killed in the impact. The driver of the Ford was uninjured.

Police continue to investigate this incident.
