CLOSTER, NJ – Two people sustained potentially life-threatening injuries after colliding with a garbage truck in Closter Tuesday morning.
According to the Daily Voice, the crash happened at the intersection of Closter Dock Road and High Street around 10:15 a.m. Two occupants in a Toyota Sienna were traveling east on High Street when a driver in an Interstate Waste Disposal slammed into them.
Witnesses say the minivan had the right of way at the intersection.
Both victims in the minivan were airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
