BORDENTOWN, NJ – A passenger was severely injured during an early-morning collision on the New Jersey Turnpike yesterday, according to the Daily Voice.

The crash happened on the northbound NJ Tpk Inner Roadway near milepost 54.1 in Bordentown at around 12:17 a.m., when the driver of a silver Acura RDX crashed into the back of a silver Toyota 4Runner. The impact sent the Toyota into a guardrail, and then into the outer travel lane.
A passenger in the Toyota, a 32-year-old from the Bronx, was ejected during the collision. The victim was taken to the hospital in Camden to receive treatment for severe injuries.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the case at this time.
