Scotch Plains woman killed in rollover crash on Garden State Pkwy

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A woman from Scotch Plains was killed in a collision on the Garden State Parkway on Saturday afternoon, according to local news sources.

The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. in Woodbridge on the northbound Garden State Pkwy near milepost 131.9, after a Jeep and a Chevrolet collided. The impact caused the Jeep to overturn.

The driver of the jeep, 51-year-old Scotch Plains resident Melissa M. Craden, was ejected during the crash. She was airlifted to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
