One Killed in Violent Tractor Trailer Crash on Route 287

OAKLAND, NJ- A truck driver was killed early Friday after his tractor trailer crashed on the Route 287 overpass in Oakland, according to Daily Voice.

At approximately 12:30am, 54-year-old Jose L. Velez-Procel was driving his tractor trailer when the tractor separated from the rest of the vehicle and fell, killing Velez-Procel. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident after extricated from the vehicle by officials. The truck has gone off the roadway, separated, and fallen– hitting a guardrail and a concrete bridge.
