EDISON, NJ- One woman was critically injured after a crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 1 Monday morning, according to local media sources.
At approximately 1:20am, a driver fell asleep behind the wheel and rear-ended a tractor trailer, swerving off-road and hitting a fire hydrant. The passenger, a woman, suffered broken ribs and internal injuries. She was transported to an area hospital shortly after.
The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.
